Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research (JIR) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and academic integrity.

1. Initial Editorial Screening
   The editor conducts an initial assessment to evaluate:

   • suitability to journal scope

   • completeness of submission

   • adherence to template

   • plagiarism check results
     Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned to authors or rejected.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review
   Eligible manuscripts are sent to two or more reviewers.

   • identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential

   • reviewers evaluate scientific quality, clarity, methodology, originality, and contribution

3. Review Decisions
   Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor may decide:

   • accept without revision

   • accept with minor revision

   • accept with major revision

   • resubmit for review

   • reject the manuscript

4. Revision Process
   Authors are required to:

   • revise the manuscript according to reviewer/editor comments

   • submit a revision report explaining changes made

   • resubmit within the specified time limit

5. Final Decision
   The final acceptance decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on:

   • reviewer recommendations

   • compliance with revision requests

   • journal policies and ethical considerations

6. Proofreading and Layout Editing
   Accepted manuscripts undergo:

   • language editing

   • layout and formatting

   • final proof approval from authors

7. Publication
   Articles are published online in the scheduled issue once all processes are completed.
