Abstract
Background: Stunting is a chronic nutritional issue that remains a significant health problem in Indonesia. Data from Midwife Dewi’s Independent Midwifery Practice (PMB) indicates the presence of pregnant women with insufficient knowledge, inadequate economic conditions, and limited access to health services. The stunting prevalence in the area served by Midwife Dewi’s PMB is approximately 8%, highlighting the need for continued attention to the nutritional intake of pregnant women. This study aims to: determine the relationship between maternal knowledge, economic status, and access to health services and the nutritional intake of pregnant women to prevent stunting at Midwife Dewi’s PMB in 2026. This study employs a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consists of 49 pregnant women selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted via questionnaires, and analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate methods (Chi-Square test). Results: The study results show a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and the nutritional intake of pregnant women to prevent stunting (p-value = 0.000), between economic status and nutritional intake (p-value = 0.001), and between access to health services and nutritional intake (p-value = 0.000). Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge, economic status, and access to healthcare services and the fulfillment of nutritional needs for pregnant women to prevent stunting at Midwife Dewi’s Independent Midwifery Practice (PMB) in 2026.
