Publication Ethics

JUPRA: Jurnal Pengabdian Terapan is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of published works. This ethical statement follows best practices in scholarly publishing and general academic ethics principles.

1. Author Responsibilities

Authors are required to:

  • Ensure that submitted manuscripts are original works and have not been published elsewhere.

  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and citation manipulation.

  • Properly acknowledge all contributors as authors and avoid ghost authorship or gift authorship.

  • Cite sources accurately and appropriately.

  • Disclose any conflict of interest, if applicable.

  • Revise manuscripts according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments.

2. Editor Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating manuscripts fairly, objectively, and without discrimination.

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of manuscripts and the identities of authors and reviewers.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in the editorial process.

  • Making publication decisions based on scholarly merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Taking appropriate action on suspected ethical misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data manipulation).

3. Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of reviewed manuscripts.

  • Declare any potential conflict of interest to the editor.

  • Identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, or substantial errors in the manuscript.

4. Plagiarism and Originality

  • JUPRA does not tolerate any form of plagiarism.

  • All submissions undergo similarity checks.

  • Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels may be rejected or returned for revision.

5. Duplicate Publication

  • Submissions must not be under review or published elsewhere.

  • Duplicate publication is strictly prohibited.

6. Conflict of Interest

  • Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect objectivity.

7. Corrections, Retractions, and Clarifications

  • In case of serious errors or ethical issues after publication, JUPRA may issue corrections, retractions, or clarifications as appropriate.

8. Open Access and Copyright

  • JUPRA supports open access to promote knowledge dissemination.

  • Copyright policies follow the journal’s terms agreed upon by the authors.
